An Act to Amend the Municipalities Act Loi modifiant la

Loi sur les municipalités Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: Sa Majesté, sur l’avis et du consentement de l’Assem- blée législative du Nouveau-Brunswick, décrète : 1 Subsection 163(1) of the Municipalities Act,

chapter M-22 of the Revised Statutes, 1973, is repealed and the following is substituted: 1 Le paragraphe 163(1) de la

chapitre M-22 des Lois révisées de 1973 est abrogé et remplacé par ce qui suit : 163(1) The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations 163(1) Le lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil peut établir des règlements (

a) respecting the establishment of a pension board which shall be responsible for administering and revi- sing a uniform contributory pension plan for the per- manent employees of municipalities and rural com- munities;

a) concernant la constitution d’une commission des pensions qui est responsable de la gestion et de la révi- sion d’un régime uniforme de retraite à caractère con- tributif pour les employés permanents des municipalités et des communautés rurales; (

b) respecting the creation or continuation of the uni- form contributory pension plan;

b) concernant la création ou le maintien du régime uniforme de retraite à caractère contributif; (

c) respecting the purpose of the uniform contributory pension plan;

c) concernant le but du régime uniforme de retraite à caractère contributif; (

d) respecting the pension fund of the uniform con- tributory pension plan;

d) concernant la caisse de retraite du régime uniforme de retraite à caractère contributif; (

e) respecting participation in the uniform contribu- tory pension plan;

e) concernant la participation au régime uniforme de retraite à caractère contributif; (

f) respecting termination of the uniform contributory pension plan;

f) concernant la cessation du régime uniforme de re- traite à caractère contributif; 1

(

g) respecting the duties, powers and responsibilities of the pension board;

g) concernant les fonctions, les pouvoirs et les attri- butions de la commission des pensions; (

h) respecting membership on the pension board;

h) concernant l’adhésion à la commission des pen- sions; (

i) respecting the administration of the pension board; and

i) concernant la gestion de la commission des pen- sions; et (

j) respecting the guidelines for the operation and re- vision of the uniform contributory pension plan by the pension board.

Section 1 The existing provision is as follows:

Article 1 Texte de la disposition actuelle : 163(1) The Lieutenant-Governor in Council may make regulations to provide for the creation and operation of a uniform contributory pension plan for the permanent employees of municipalities and rural communities. 163(1) Le lieutenant-gouverneur en conseil peut établir des règle- ments en vue de créer et de mettre en oeuvre un régime uniforme de retraite à caractère contributif pour les employés permanents des mu- nicipalités et des communautés rurales.

Section 2 Commencement provision.
