An Act to amned The Seizures Act (Assented to , 1969) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Seizures Act is hereby amended. 2.

Section is amended by striking out clauses (

a) and (

b) and by substituting the following: (

a) by a sheriff, assistant sheriff, deputy sheriff, sheriff's bailiff or some other person authorized in writing to do so by a sheriff, assistant sheriff or deputy sheriff, and (

b) between the hours of o'clock in the morning and o'clock in the afternoon. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill amends

chapter of the Revised Statutes. 2.

Section presently reads: 18. Unless it is otherwise ordered by a court or judge, no distres':! shall be made, taken, levied, executed or carried into effect except only (

a) by a Rheriff, aRsiRtantRheriff, deputy sheriff or sheriff's bailiff, or (

b) by some other person authorized in writing to do so by a sheriff. an assistant sheriff or a deputy sheriff. This change sets specific hours for making seizures for distress. Title: 1969 (16th, 2nd) Bill 32,
