OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Attorney General and Minister of Justice dated May 3, 2016, and pursuant to Sections 3 and 4 of

Chapter 327 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Ombudsman Act , and

Section 10 of

Chapter 70 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Civil Service Act , is pleased to, effective on and after June 1, 2016: (

a) revoke the appointment of Christine Delisle-Brennan as Acting Ombudsman; (

b) appoint William Allan Smith of Hammonds Plains, Nova Scotia, as Ombudsman for a five year term of office commencing June 1, 2016; and (

c) designate William Allan Smith as a deputy head within the meaning of the Civil Service Act and determine that he shall be paid such salary and receive such benefits as may be determined by Executive Council from time to time.
