An Act to Amend the Members’ Conflict of Interest Act Her Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, enacts as fol- lows: 1

Section of the Members’ Conflict of Interest Act,

chapter M-7.01 of the Acts of New Brunswick, 1999, is amended by repealing the definition “member” and sub- stituting the following: “member” means (

a) a member of the legislative Assembly, (

b) a member of the Executive Council, (

c) a Deputy Minister as defined in the Civil Service Act, and (

d) the chief administrative officer of a Crown corpo- ration enumerated by regulation; 2 This Act comes into force on a day to be fixed by proclamation. PROJET DE LOI Loi modifiant la

Loi sur les conflits d’intérêts des dé- putés et des membres du Conseil exécutif,

chapitre M-7.01 des Lois du Nouveau-Brunswick de 1999, est modifié par l’abrogation de la définition de « député » ou « membre du Conseil exécutif » et son remplacement par ce qui suit : « député » ou « membre du Conseil exécutif » désigne les personnes suivantes :

a) un député de l’Assemblée législative,

b) un membre du Conseil exécutif,

c) un sous-ministre selon la définition qu’en donne la

Loi sur la Fonction publique,

d) le directeur administratif général d’une société de la Couronne visée par un règlement; 2 La présente loi entre en vigueur à la date fixée par proclamation.
