OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Opportunities and Social Development dated February 3, 2026, and pursuant to

Section 32 of

Chapter 1 of the Acts of 2021, the Adoption Records Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Mairead Barry of Halifax Regional Municipality and Kimberley Tipert of Lunenburg County as members of the Adoption Records Appeal Committee, both for a term of three years commencing February 17, 2026; and (

b) order that Mairead Barry and Kimberley Tipert both be remunerated in the amount of $200 per hearing and be reimbursed for reasonable travel expenses incurred in fulfilling duties as members of the Adoption Records Appeal Committee, provided such reimbursements do not exceed those normally payable to members of the civil service.
