CHAPTER

An Act to amend The Saskatchewan Hospitalization Act (Assented to May 19, 1981) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan, enacts as follows:

Short title This Act may be cited as The Saskatchewan Hospitalization Amendment Act, 1981. Rev. Stat. c.S-23 The Saskatchewan Hospitalization Act is amended in the manner set forth in this Act.

Section amended Clause 2(

e) is amended by adding “for the purposes of this Act” after “Standards Act” in the third line. New

section 6.1 The following

section is added after

section 6: Power of minister to act as agent “6.1 Notwithstanding any other provision of this Act or any other Act, the minister may act as the agent for any department or agency of the Government of Saskatchewan, of the Government of Canada or of the government of any other province or for any Crown corporation for the purpose of arranging, tendering and making payment to any hospital with respect to services provided by that hospital, whether or not the persons receiving those services are beneficiaries and whether or not the services provided by that hospital are services for which payment may otherwise be made under this Act”.
