OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Agriculture dated February 6, 2008, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 7 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Agriculture and Rural Credit Act, is pleased to (

a) reappoint Victor Moses of New Minas, Kings County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for a further three year term of office commencing February 25, 2008 and expiring February 24, 2011; (

b) appoint Angela Hunter of Merigomish, Pictou County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Farm Loan Board for a three year term of office commencing February 25, 2008 and expiring February 24, 2011; (

c) determine the rate of remuneration for carrying out duties as a member to be $100 per day; (

d) determine that reasonable expenses necessarily incurred by the members in carrying out duties shall be paid to the members in accordance with Provincial Government policy; (

e) bind the members as a condition of appointment, by the principles and purposes of the Corporate Code of Conduct for Civil Servants and

Chapter 4 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Members and Public Employees Disclosure Act; and (

f) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate, or settle claims or charges made against the Members and indemnify them from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of activities in relation to their appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends, the Province will be in control of the case.
