Order in Council 1647/2024

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council 1603/2024 , the position of Special Advisor, Agent-General (Chicago) is continued for a period not exceeding three years effective January 27, 2025;

Therefore, pursuant to the prerogative of His Majesty the King in Right of Ontario to provide for the appointment and remuneration of advisors to serve His Majesty’s Government of Ontario in the discharge of its executive obligations and responsibilities,

Earl Provost of Toronto

is hereby re-appointed as Special Advisor, Agent-General (Chicago) to serve at the pleasure of the Lieutenant Governor in Council for a period not exceeding three years, effective January 27, 2025.

And further that during such re-appointment, Earl Provost shall be paid a base remuneration of $185,000 (Canadian) per year.
