OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables dated November 10, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 6 of

Chapter 376 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Service Act , is pleased to approve the Minister of Natural Resources and Renewables: (

a) entering into the Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund Funding Agreement with His Majesty the King in Right of Canada, as represented by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change Canada for funding to help low-income households in Nova Scotia move away from oil heating on terms and conditions set forth in

Schedule “A” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, subject only to such variations as do not materially change the nature of the agreement; and (

b) signing the Home Heating Oil Transition Portfolio Annex Letter, which forms part of the Low Carbon Economy Leadership Fund Funding Agreement, to access funding from Environment and Climate Change Canada in the amount of $60,500,000 on terms and conditions set forth in

Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation, subject only to such variations as do not materially change the Annex Letter.
