Order in Council 1448/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to subsection 62(1) of the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020 , land may be designated as transit corridor land if the Lieutenant Governor in Council is of the opinion that the designation is or may be required for a priority transit project, as defined in

section 2 of the Act;

And

whereas all or part of the properties listed on sheet one of the designation plan number 22-04928-000 prepared by GeoVera ( ON ) Ltd. and dated August 17, 2023, attached hereto are or may be required as transit corridor land for the Hamilton Light Rail Transit ( LRT ) line, which is a priority transit project;

Therefore, pursuant to subsection 62(1) of the Building Transit Faster Act, 2020 , all or part of the properties listed in the above-mentioned table, as further described in the pictorial portion of the plan are designated as transit corridor land for all purposes in respect of the Hamilton Light Rail Transit ( LRT ) line, effective the date of this Order.
