OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Active Transit, dated March 17, 2021, and pursuant to
Section 18 of
Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act and
Section 11 of
Chapter 452 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Surplus Crown Property Disposal Act is pleased to: (
a) extinguish the right of the public to use that portion of the public highway, identified as Parcel RR-A and Parcel RR-C, containing a combined area of 0.24 hectares (25,790.2 sq. feet), more or less, located at Lori Ann Drive, at or near Porters Lake, Halifax County, more particularly described in
Schedule “A” and shown on
Schedule “B” attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation; (
b) authorize the conveyance of Parcel RR-A and Parcel RR-C to LMLT Investments Limited of Dartmouth, Halifax County for the consideration of $3,800 plus HST of $570 for a total purchase price of $4,370; (
c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Active Transit to make and execute a Deed of Conveyance in such form as the Minister determines to effect the conveyance of the land herein above described, and (
d) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Active Transit to execute such documents as may be necessary to achieve the purpose of this Order.
