OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Justice dated January 9, 2002, and pursuant to

Section 28 of

Chapter 348 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Brian S. Creighton of Amherst, Cumberland County, as a member and designate him as Chair of the Police Review Board for a further term of office ending December 31, 2002; (

b) fix the remuneration of the Chair at $200 per meeting; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Brian S. Creighton and indemnify him from personal liability provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of his activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends him, the Province will be in control of the case.
