OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Nova Scotia Police Review Board dated April 16, 2012, and pursuant to Sections 13 and 15 of

Chapter 31 of the Acts of 2004, the Police Act, is pleased to: (

a) appoint Paulette Anderson, of New Glasgow, Antigonish County, as member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three years, commencing on May 4, 2012; (

b) appoint William J. Kilfoil, of Oyster Pond, Halifax County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three years, commencing May 6, 2012; (

c) appoint Garry Mumford, of Halifax, Halifax County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board for a term of three years, commencing May 6, 2012; (

d) fix remuneration for the members of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board to be $150 per meeting plus necessary expenses; (

e) re-appoint Ann Mann of Halifax, Halifax County as a member of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board, commencing on May 4, 2012, and designate her as Vice Chair effective May 6, 2012; (

f) fix remuneration for the Vice Chair of the Nova Scotia Police Review Board to be $175 per meeting plus necessary expenses; and (

g) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Paulette Anderson, William Kilfoil, Garry Mumford and Ann Mann and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
