B.C. Reg. 200/2006, deposited July 13, 2006, pursuant to the COURT RULES ACT [Section 1]. Order in Council 500/2006, approved and ordered July 13, 2006.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, made after consultation with the Chief Justice of British Columbia, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Court of Appeal Rules, B.C. Reg. 297/2001, are amended as set out in the attached Schedule.

Schedule

1 The Court of Appeal Rules, B.C. Reg. 297/2001, are amended by repealing Rule 28 (7) (

a) and (

b) and substituting the following:

(

a) file with the registrar a Notice of Hearing in Form 34 setting out the date fixed for the hearing of the appeal and the estimated length of hearing specified in the certificate, and

(

b) serve a filed copy of Form 34 on all other parties.

2 Appendix A is amended

(

a) in Form 10 by adding the following after "OPENING

STATEMENT":

The opening statement must be a concise statement of the nature of the appeal and must not exceed one page.

(

b) in Form 13 by repealing paragraph (

b) after "In addition

to the foregoing," and substituting the following:

(

b) transcript references must be bound in chronological order and may be bound with or without tabs. ,

(

c) in Form 28 by adding the following title before "BEFORE

THE HONOURABLE"

CONSENT ORDER ,

(

d) in Form 32 by striking out "Rules." and substituting

"Rules in the amount of $...... .", and

(

e) by adding the following form:
