B.C. Reg. 196/2007, deposited June 21, 2007, pursuant to the MISCELLANEOUS STATUTES AMENDMENT ACT, 2007 [Section 69] and the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [Sections 2 (1) and 26]. Order in Council 442/2007, approved and ordered June 21, 2007.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective July 1, 2007,

(

a) section 18 of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 2007 , S.B.C. 2007, c. 8, is brought into force, and

(

b) the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended as set out in the attached schedule.

Schedule

1 The Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended by renumbering

section 2 as

section 2 (1) and by adding the following subsection:

(2) For the purposes of the Act, "prescribed professional" means a person who is authorized under an enactment to practice the profession of

(

a) medical practitioner,

(

b) registered psychologist,

(

c) registered nurse or registered psychiatric nurse,

(

d) occupational therapist,

(

e) physical therapist,

(

f) social worker,

(

g) chiropractor, or

(

h) nurse practitioner.
