OIC Text: \x09The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Acting Minister of Finance dated March 7, 2007, and pursuant to subsection 3(a), and Sections 4 and 6 of

Chapter 7 of the Acts of 2005, the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission Act, is pleased to: \x09(a)\x09revoke the appointment made by Order in Council 2005-129 appointing Wayne Mason as a member of the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission effective March 13, 2007; \x09(b)\x09reappoint Wayne Mason of Waverley, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member and Vice-chair of the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission for a term of three years effective March 14, 2007 and ending on March 14, 2010; \x09(c)\x09reappoint G.

Russell Hatton of Dartmouth, Halifax Regional Municipality, as a member of the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission for a term of two years effective March 14, 2007 and ending on March 14, 2009; \x09(d)\x09determine the remuneration for the office of Vice-chair at the rate of $12,000 per annum; \x09(e)\x09order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointees of the Halifax-Dartmouth Bridge Commission and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
