Order in Council 790/2020

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Education Act , the Minister of Education may, subject to the approval of the Lieutenant Governor in Council, order the closing of a school or any class thereof for a specified period;

Therefore , pursuant to subsection 5(1) of the Education Act , the order of the Minister of Education, dated May 15, 2020, requiring that every school, as defined in that Act, be closed, subject to the exceptions noted in that order, for the period of April 6, 2020 through June 30, 2020, be approved.

And further that Orders in Council 517/2020, 576/2020 and 673/2020 be revoked as of the date of this Order.
