WHEREAS

section 47(12) of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 1992 provides that

section 47 of that Act comes into force on Proclamation; and

WHEREAS it is expedient to proclaim

section 47, except subsections (7) and (8), of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act, 1992 in force:

NOW KNOW YE THAT by and with the advice and consent of Our Executive Council of Our Province of Alberta, by virtue of the provisions of the said Act hereinbefore referred to and of all other power and authority whatsoever in Us vested in that behalf, We have ordered and declared and do hereby proclaim

ERRATUM

Order in Council numbered O.C. 260/95 forms the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22.

Schedule 1 of O.C. 260/95 as published in the Alberta Gazette of April 29, 1995 (vol. 91, no. 8, page 940) is incorrect.

Schedule 1 of O.C. 260/95 reads as follows:

Transitional Provisions for the Formation of the Municipal District of

Northern Lights No. 22

1. Each employee of the Government of Alberta employed in Improvement District No. 22 as of March 31, 1995, whose salary is paid from money referred to in

section 596(1) of the Municipal Government Act, continues as an employee of the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 until its council otherwise directs.

2. All the Ministerial Orders or orders passed by the Improvement District No. 22 advisory council in effect in Improvement District No. 22 on March 31, 1995, continue to operate as bylaws of the council insofar as they are not inconsistent with this order until they are repealed or replaced by bylaws of the council of the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22.

3. Any agreement entered into by the Minister that relates to Improvement District No. 22 is binding on the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22, as far as is practicable, as though the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 had replaced the Minister of Municipal Affairs as a party to the agreement.

4. Any taxes owing to the Minister of Municipal Affairs in respect to Improvement District No. 22, including any lawful penalties and costs levied in respect to such taxes, are transferred to and become payable to the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 and may be collected and dealt with by the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 as if it had imposed the taxes.

5. Subject to the Limitation of Actions Act, all rights of action and actions by or against the Crown in the right of Alberta may be continued or maintained by or against the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 if the cause of the action arose in Improvement District No. 22 and relates to the administration by the Minister of any municipal matter relating solely to Improvement District No. 22.

6. All assets, liabilities, whether arising under a debenture or otherwise, rights, duties, functions and obligations of the Minister of Municipal Affairs in respect of Improvement District No. 22 are vested in the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 and may be dealt with in its name.

7. A reference to Improvement District No. 22 or the Minister of Municipal Affairs or the Crown in respect of Improvement District No. 22 in any order, regulation, bylaw, certificate of title, agreement or any other instrument is deemed to be a reference to the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22.

8. The members of the advisory council of Improvement District No. 22 are deemed to be the council of the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 until a new council is elected under the Local Authorities Election Act.

9. The Minister of Municipal Affairs may, by order, exempt any ministerial order from the operation of

section 2 or any agreement from the operation of

section 3 of this schedule.

10. If a question arises as to whether a right of action is one to which

section 5 of this

schedule applies or whether an asset, liability, right, duty, function, or obligation under

section 6 of this

schedule applies, the Minister of Municipal Affairs shall decide the question.

11. Assessed values of property prepared or adopted by Improvement District No. 22 for use in the 1995 taxation year shall be used by the Municipal District of Northern Lights No. 22 for the 1995 taxation year.

a) on December 31, 1995 the land described in Appendix A and shown on the sketch in appendix B is separated from The Municipal District of Rocky View No. 44 and annexed to The Town of Cochrane,

(

b) any taxes owing to The Municipal District of Rocky View No. 44 on December 31, 1995 in respect of the annexed land are transferred to and become payable to The Town of Cochrane together with any lawful penalties and costs levied in respect of those taxes and The Town of Cochrane upon collecting those taxes, penalties or costs shall pay them to The Municipal District of Rocky View No. 44, and

(

c) the assessor for The Town of Cochrane shall assess in 1995, for the purpose of taxation in 1996, the annexed land and the assessable improvements to it.

part I of the Irrigation Act, Irrigation Council has been petitioned to change the area of the St. Mary River Irrigation District formed by an order of the Irrigation Council

a) requesting that the parcels described in the petitions be added to the St. Mary River Irrigation District,

the Irrigation Council having considered that the petitions are in all respects in order;

Therefore, it is ordered, pursuant to the provisions of

MAPLEX GENERAL INSURANCE COMPANY ("MAPLEX")

Take notice that the Ontario Court of Justice (General Division) (the "Court") ordered the winding-up of Maplex General Insurance Company ("Maplex") on March 21, 1995 and appointed the Superintendent of Insurance for the Province of Ontario as the provisional liquidator (the "Liquidator"). Deloitte & Touche Inc. has been appointed as agent of the Liquidator.

And further take notice that on May 8, 1995, the Court ordered the termination of all outstanding Maplex policies effective May 29, 1995. Accordingly, all insurance coverage for Maplex policyholders will cease on that date.
