OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Renewal dated March 9, 2016, and pursuant to

Section 48 of

Chapter 11 of the Acts of 1993, the Railways Act , is pleased, effective on and after March 29, 2016, to: (

a) repeal the Railway Discontinuance of Services and Abandonment Regulations , N.S. Reg. 145/2001, made by the Governor in Council by Order in Council 2001-548 dated November 30, 2001; and (

b) make new regulations respecting railway discontinuance of services and abandonment in the form set forth in

Schedule “A”, attached to and forming part of the Report and Recommendation.
