Authority under which Order is made: Act and section: Public Service Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 385, s. 15 Other: OIC 4/2023 O10678496 On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective March 1, 2023, (

a) the appointment of James Smith as a Deputy Communica tions Director in the Office of the Premier, made by Order in Council 4/2023, is rescinded, (

b) James Smith is appointed as a Deputy Communications Director and Press Secretary in the Office of the Premier, (

c) James Smith is to be paid in accordance with th e band classification set out in the British Columbia Management Classification and Compensation Framework administered by the Public Service Agency, and (

d) terms and conditions of employmen t equivalent to those established for category C appointees in the “Terms and Conditions for Excluded Employees and Appointees” administered by the Public Service Agency apply to the appointment of James Smith. 144 March 1, 2023
