Section 3 (1) (
a) of the Wood Innovation Design Centre Regulation, B.C. Reg. 271/2012, is amended by striking out “ 4 800 m 2 ” and substituting “ 4 850 m 2 ”.

Article 3.1.7.1. is amended
(
a) in Sentence (1) by striking out “ Sentence (2) ” and substituting “ Sentences (2) and (3) ”, and
(
b) by adding the following Sentence:
3) A material, assembly of materials or a structural member that meets the requirements of Sentence 4.3.1.4.(1) is permitted to be assigned a fire-resistance rating based on sound engineering judgment using the reduced cross-section method, provided the calculation can be demonstrated, through comparison with existing test data, to achieve at least the level of performance required by Sentence 3.1.7.1.(1).

Article 3.1.8.4. is amended
(
a) by repealing Sentence (1) and substituting the following:
1) Except as permitted by Sentences (2) and 3.1.8.14.(1), the fire-protection rating of a closure shall be determined based on the results of tests conducted in conformance with the appropriate provisions in
a) CAN4-S104-M, “Fire Tests of Door Assemblies,”
b) CAN4-S106-M, “Fire Tests of Window and Glass Block Assemblies,”
c) CAN/ULC-S112-M, “Fire Test of Fire-Damper Assemblies,” or
d) ULC/ORD-C263.1, “Sprinkler-Protected Window Systems.”
(See Articles 3.1.8.15. to 3.1.8.17. for additional requirements for closures .) , and
(
b) by adding the following Sentence:
3) Where ULC/ORD-C263.1, “Sprinkler-Protected Window Systems,” is used to determine the fire-protection rating of a glazed closure described in ULC Listing 2257, fixed benches and millwork counters are permitted adjacent to the pony wall.
3.4 Clause 3.2.1.1.(4)(
a) is amended by striking out “ 10% ” and substituting “ 18% ”.
Section 4 is amended in Clause 3.2.2.24.(1)(
c) by striking out “ 4 800 m 2 ” and substituting “ 4 850 m 2 ”.
Section 5 is amended in Clause 3.2.2.57.(1)(
c) by striking out “ 4 800 m 2 ” and substituting “ 4 850 m 2 ”.
5 The following sections are added:

a) is repealed and the following substituted:
a) one half the maximum diagonal dimension of the floor area , but need not be more than 9 m for
i) a floor area having a public corridor , or
