Craigmore Provincial Park Designation

made under

Section 8 of the

Provincial Parks Act

R.S.N.S. 1989, c. 367

O.I.C. 73-686 (July 3, 1973), N.S. Reg. 131/73

The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Lands and

Forests dated the 25th day of May, A.D., 1973, pursuant to the provisions of

Section 2 of

Chapter 244 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1967, the Provincial Parks Act , is

pleased to:

(

a) constitute all that area of land including land covered with water owned by Her

Majesty in right of the Province of Nova Scotia and situate at or near Long

Point, in the County of Inverness, Province of Nova Scotia, to be a Provincial

Park, said area of land being included within the boundaries of lands described

in

Schedule “A” attached to the report and recommendation, and shown

outlined on the Plan of Survey marked

Schedule “B” attached to the report and

recommendation; and

(

b) declare the name by which the park shall be known as “Craigmore Provincial

Park”.

Craigmore Provincial Park

All those two certain lots, pieces or parcels of land situate, lying and being at Long Point in the

County of Inverness, Province of Nova Scotia, as shown on Plan #E-5-32 on file at the Crown

Land Records Office, Department of Lands and Forests, Halifax and being more particularly

described as follows:

Lot “A”

Beginning at a Crown Survey Monument (C.S.M.) marked A on said plan no. E-5-32 situated

where the northwesterly boundary of public highway right-of-way No. 19 leading from Port

Hastings to Judique intersects the southern margin of Chisholm Brook so-called;

From thence (by astronomic bearings) south twenty-seven degrees twenty-one minutes west

along the said boundary of public highway No. 19, seventy-four decimal fifty-eight feet to

C.S.M. marked B on said plan and being situate where the northerly boundary of an old public

highway intersects the westerly boundary of said public highway No. 19;

Thence following the northerly boundary of the old highway north seventy-seven degrees zero

minutes west, sixty-four decimal sixty-eight feet to C.S.M. marked C on said plan;

Thence along the northerly boundary of the old highway south eighty-four degrees fifty-three

minutes west, one hundred twenty decimal twelve feet to C.S.M. marked D on said plan;

Thence continuing along the northerly boundary of the said old highway south forty-nine

degrees forty-three minutes west, two hundred fifty-six decimal zero eight feet to C.S.M.

marked E on said plan;

Thence continuing along the northerly boundary of said old highway north eighty-seven

degrees twenty-seven minutes west, two hundred and ninety-seven decimal zero feet to C.S.M.

marked F on said plan;

Thence north five degrees ten minutes east, four hundred thirty-seven decimal fifty-eight feet to

C.S.M. marked G on said plan and being situate on the south margin of Chisholm Brook before

mentioned;

Thence following the several courses of the south boundary of Chisholm Brook in an easterly

direction a distance of approximately eight hundred and sixty-five feet to the place of

beginning, the said Lot “A” containing 3 3/4 acres more or less.

Lot “B”

Beginning at a Crown Survey Monument (C.S.M.) marked H on said plan E-5-32 situated at

that point where the westerly boundary of the aforesaid highway No. 19 intersects the southerly

boundary of the aforesaid old highway;

From thence (by astronomic bearings) south thirty degrees forty-two minutes west along the

western boundary of said highway No. 19, one hundred four decimal ninety-four feet to C.S.M.

marked I on said plan;

Thence north sixty-two degrees fifty-seven minutes west, one hundred thirty decimal

sixty-eight feet to C.S.M. marked J on said plan and situated on the southerly boundary of the

said old highway;

Thence north fifty-five degrees twenty-seven minutes east along the southern boundary of the

said old highway, sixty decimal zero six feet to C.S.M. marked K on said plan;

Thence continuing along the southern boundary of said old highway north eighty-five degrees

thirty-seven minutes east, seventy-five decimal ninety feet to C.S.M. marked L on said plan;

Thence continuing along the southern boundary of said old highway south seventy-eight

degrees eighty minutes east, forty-five decimal fifty-four feet to the place of beginning, the said

Lot “B” containing one-quarter (1/4) of an acre more or less.
