B.C. Reg. 156/2002, deposited June 27, 2002, pursuant to the WORKERS COMPENSATION ACT [Sections 25.1, 25.2 and 25.3]. Order of the Workers' Compensation Board, dated June 11, 2002.

Whereas, effective June 30, 2002, Sections 25.1 and 25.3 of the

Workers Compensation Act ("Act") will require the Board to determine as of July 1, 2002, a percentage change by comparing the Consumer Price Index for April 2002 with the Consumer Price Index for October 2001 and by applying that percentage change to adjust those periodic payments of compensation referred to in

section 25.1 (5), and to adjust dollar amounts in the Act referred to in

section 25.3 (1);

And

whereas the Board is required to make this determination prior to Sections 25.1 and 25.3 coming into force in order that the Board is able to make the required adjustments as of July 1, 2002;

And

whereas the Board is advised that the Consumer Price Index for October 2001 was 116.8 and for April 2002 was 118.4, giving a percentage change of 1.369863 per cent;

And

whereas B.C. Reg. 23/2002 amended dollar amounts described in

section 25 (4), as it read before being amended by the

Workers Compensation Amendment Act, 2002 , as of February 15, 2002 as shown in column 1 below;

The Board hereby determines that the percentage change applicable under sections 25.1 (1) (

b) and 25.3 (1) (

b) is 1.369863 per cent;

And that all periodic payments of compensation described in

section 25.1 (5) and dollar amounts described in

section 25.3 (1) shall be adjusted by applying that percentage change as of July 1, 2002;

And that B.C. Reg. 274/2001 shall be repealed as of July 1, 2002;

And that all dollar amounts referred to in

section 25.3 (1) of the Act, shall be adjusted by applying that percentage change as of July 1, 2002, as follows:
