Interpretation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council, on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Boxing Authority Act dated May 16, 2019, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 43 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Boxing Authority Act , and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Angela Sanford of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority, made pursuant to Order in Council 2018-236, effective June 28, 2019. (

b) appoint Lori Peters of Stellarton, Pictou County as a member of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term of one (1) year commencing June 28, 2019; (

c) appoint Aaron Kinch of Westville, Pictou County, as a member of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term of one (1) year commencing June 28, 2019; (

d) appoint Carmelita Cechetto-Shea of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (North Sydney) as a member of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term of one (1) year commencing June 28, 2019; and (

e) confirm that Lori Peters, Aaron Kinch and Carmelita Cechetto-Shea shall receive remuneration in respect of their appointments at a rate of $25.00 per meeting.
