to incorporate the Merchants and Traders Assurance Company are repealed on

Proclamation; and

WHEREAS it is expedient

Council of Our Province of Alberta, by virtue of the provisions of the said Act

hereinbefore referred to and of all other power and authority whatsoever in Us vested

in that behalf, We have ordered and declared and do hereby proclaim

section 872(a),

d) of the Insurance Act in force, and proclaim the repeal of Altasure

Notice of Application for Private Bill

Amendment to

An Act to Incorporate Mary Immaculate Hospital of Mundare

NOTICE is hereby given that petitions will be submitted to the Lieutenant Governor

and the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta at the 2006 Spring session of

the Legislature of the Province of Alberta for the passage of a Bill by the Mary

Immaculate Hospital of Mundare corporation, to amend the private act, namely:

An Act to Incorporate Mary Immaculate Hospital of Mundare, S.A. 1962, c.106.

The Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate (the "Sisters") and its representatives have

withdrawn from membership in the Mary Immaculate Hospital of Mundare

corporation with a view to passing on sponsorship and control to the Alberta Catholic

Health Corporation. There is accordingly a need to adapt the legislation to more

clearly confirm the Sisters' departure and generally make the legislation more

applicable to the corporation's existing and anticipated operations. There is also a

desire to amend the legislation so as to conform the corporation's legal structure with

more modern corporate legislation. Accordingly the proposed amendments will:

(

a) remove the requirement that future bylaw changes obtain the consent of the

Provincial Superior of the Sisters;

(

b) permit the Alberta Catholic Health Corporation to be the sole member of the

corporation while allowing for other membership structures if desirable;

(

c) broaden the objects of the corporation so as to allow the corporation broader

scope in the delivery of health care and wellness services and charitable works

generally;

(

d) give to the corporation the capacity, rights, powers and privileges of a natural

person;

(

e) improve the legislation's provisions relating to its internal affairs including

provisions relating to:

(

i) the appointment of members and directors and the granting of directors

powers;

(ii) the adoption and amendment of bylaws; and

(iii) the dissolution of the corporation.

Assembly of the Province of Alberta at its next session for the passage of a Bill

amending the Canada Olympic Park Property Tax Exemption Act to expand the

existing exemptions from property assessment and taxation to include all the lands

and improvements comprising of the Canada Olympic Park and the surrounding

buffer lands and improvements held by CODA, all of which are located within the

City of Calgary.

Each parcel will be offered for sale subject to a reserve bid and to the reservations and

conditions contained in the existing certificate of title.

The land is being offered for sale on an "as is, where is" basis, and The City of

Calgary makes no representation and gives no warranty whatsoever as to the

adequacy of services, soil conditions, land use districting, building and development

conditions, absence or presence of environmental contamination, or the developability

of the subject land for any intended use by the Purchaser. No bid will be accepted

where the bidder attempts to attach conditions precedent to the sale of any parcel. No

The City of Calgary may, after the public auction, become the owner of any parcel of

land not sold at the public auction.

In accordance with

Section 424(1) and (3) of the Municipal Government Act,

(1) "The municipality at whose request a tax recovery notification was endorsed on the

certificate of title for a parcel of land may become the owner of the parcel after the

public auction, if the parcel is not sold at the public auction," (3) "A municipality that

becomes the owner of a parcel of land pursuant to subsection (1) acquires the land

free of all encumbrances, except (

a) encumbrances arising from claims of the Crown

in right of Canada, (

b) irrigation of drainage debentures, (

c) registered easements and

instrument, (

d) right of entry orders."

Terms: On all improved property, one-third cash is required on the date of sale and

the balance within 30 days. On all other property, one-third cash, with a minimum

cash payment of $500, is required on the date of sale and the balance over 12 months,

with interest at prime plus one per cent per annum calculated on the unpaid balance.

All sales are subject to current taxes.

GST may apply on properties sold at the public auction.

Redemption may be effected by payment of all arrears of taxes and costs at any time

prior to the sale.
