Statute: Insurance Act Credit Union Act Trust and Loan Companies Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Insurance Act and the Minister of Environment and Labour dated February 11, 2004, pursuant to

Section 4 of

Chapter 231 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Insurance Act,

Section 256 of

Chapter 4 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994, the Credit Union Act,

Section 13 of

Chapter 7 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1991, the Trust and Loan Companies Act, and

Section 18 of

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, is pleased to: (

a) revoke the appointment of Catherine E. Smith as Superintendent of Insurance, Credit Unions and Trust and Loan Companies, effective midnight, February 6, 2004; (

b) revoke the appointment of Doug Murphy as Deputy Superintendent of Insurance, Credit Unions and Trust and Loan Companies, effective midnight, February 6, 2004; (

c) appoint Doug Murphy as Acting Superintendent of Insurance, Credit Unions and Trust and Loan Companies, effective February 7, 2004; and (

d) appoint William Ngu as Acting Deputy Superintendent of Insurance, Credit Unions and Trust and Loan Companies, effective February 7, 2004.
