Order in Council 1088/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas pursuant to subsection 3(2) of the Niagara Parks Act , O.C. 159/2023, O.C. 160/2023, O.C. 161/2023 and O.C. 162/2023, each dated February 9, 2023, reappointed Jim Diodati of Niagara Falls, appointed Thomas Insinna of Fort Erie, reappointed Wayne H. Redekop of Fort Erie and appointed Erwin Wiens of Niagara-on-the-Lake respectively as members of The Niagara Parks Commission (“The Commission”).

And

whereas subsection 3(2) of the Niagara Parks Act , as it was at the time, provided that the four municipal members of The Commission be appointed annually by the Lieutenant Governor in Council upon the recommendation of their respective four municipal councils;

And

whereas subsection 3(2) of the Niagara Parks Act was repealed and replaced with a new subsection 3(2) which provides that those municipal councils each appoint one member directly to The Commission by resolution;

Now therefore , O.C. 159/2023, O.C. 160/2023, O.C. 161/2023 and O.C. 162/2023 are revoked effective June 8, 2023.
