Order in Council 1711/2017

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas the Minister of Education proposes to appoint six persons as Education Advisors, to provide advice to the Minister and the Premier on education policy and strategy, for terms ending no later than August 31, 2018;

Therefore, pursuant to

section 10 of the Education Act , and

section 76 of the Legislation Act, 2006 ,

Each of the Education Advisors shall be compensated at the rate of $500 for every full day worked and $250 for every half day worked, commencing on the first day of the term of their appointments, to a maximum of $15,000 for each Education Advisor over the term of their appointments;

And further , the Education Advisors shall be reimbursed for reasonable expenses incurred while engaged in their duties to the Crown in accordance with the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive and any other TB/MBC directives.
