An Act to amend The Licensing of Trades and Businesses Act (Assented to , 1970) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1. The Licensing of Trades and Businesses Act is hereby amended. 2.

Section is amended by striking out clauses (

a) and (

b) and by substituting the following: (

a) if the offender is a corporation to a fine of not less than $200 and not more than $1,000, and (

b) in any other case to a fine of not less than $50 and not more than $250, and in default of payment to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 90 days. 3. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill will amend 'chapter of the Revised Statutes. 2.

Section presently reads: 11. A person who contravenes any of the prOVlSl'ons of a regulation, rule or order passed pursuant to this Act is guilty of an offence and liable on

summary conviction (

a) if the offender is a body corp.orate to a fine of not more than two hundred dollars, and (

b) in any other case to a fine of not more than fifty dollars, and in default of payment to imprisonment for a term of not more than ninety days. Title: 1970 (16th, 3rd) Bill 11,
