1984 BILL Second Session, 20th Legislature, 33 Elizabeth II THE LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY OF ALBERTA BILL ALBERTA MORTGAGE AND HOUSING CORPORATION AMENDMENT ACT, 1984 THE MINISTER OF HOUSING First Reading Second Reading Committee ofthe Whole Third Reading Royal Assent Bill BILL 72 ALBERTA MORTGAGE AND HOUSING CORPORATION AMENDMENT ACT, 1984 (Assented to , 1984) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent ofthe Legislative Assembly of Alberta, enacts as follows: 1 The Alberta Mortgage and Housing Corporation Act is amended by this Act. 2 Section 2(2)(

c) is repealed and the following is substituted: (

c) a person appointed by the Provincial Treasurer, In accordance with section 4(1) ofthe

Interpretation Act, this Bill comes into force on the date it receives Royal Assent. Explanatory Notes This Bdl will amend

chapter A-32.5 of the Statutes of Alberta, 1984. 2 Section 2(2) presently reads:

(2) The Corporation shall consist of the following members, who shall be the board of directors ofthe Corporation; (

a) the Minister who shall also be chairman; (

b) the Deputy Minister; (

c) the Deputy Provincial Treasurer; (

d) the President ofthe Corporation, who shall also be vice-chairman; (

e) any other members who are appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council, to hold office during pleasure. Explanatory Notes Title: 1984 (20th, 2nd) Bill 72, Alberta Mortgage and Housing Corporation Amendment Act, 1984
