MISCELLANEOUS STATUTES (MINOR CORRECTIONS) AMENDMENT ACT, 2018

HER MAJESTY, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of British Columbia, enacts as follows:

Assessment Authority Act

Section 16 (2) of the Assessment Authority Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 21, is amended by striking out " December 3l " and substituting " December 31 ".

Capital Region Water Supply and Sooke Hills Protection Act

Section 3 (5) of the Capital Region Water Supply and Sooke Hills Protection Act, S.B.C. 1997, c. 5, is amended by striking out " Local Government Act " and substituting " Local Government Act ".

Child, Family and Community Service Amendment Act, 2018

Section 9 (

b) of the Child, Family and Community Service Amendment Act, 2018, S.B.C. 2018, c. 27, as it enacts

section 8 (4) (a) (ii) of the Child, Family and Community Service Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 46, is amended by striking out " subsection (1) (b) " and substituting " subsection (3) (b) ".

Clean Energy Act

Section 35 (n) (ii) of the Clean Energy Act, S.B.C. 2010, c. 22, is amended by striking out " fueling " and substituting " fuelling ".

Coastal Ferry Act

Section 42 (1) of the Coastal Ferry Act, S.B.C. 2003, c. 14, is amended by striking out " may make application " and substituting " may make an application ".

Court Order Enforcement Act

Schedule 4 of the Court Order Enforcement Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 78, is amended by repealing the heading to

Article IX of

Part VI and substituting the following:

Recognition and Enforcement of Third State Judgments .

Credit Union Incorporation Act

Section 14 (1) and (3) of the Credit Union Incorporation Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 82, is amended by striking out " "caisse d'economie" " and substituting " "caisse d'économie" ".

Creston Valley Wildlife Act

8 The

Schedule to the Creston Valley Wildlife Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 84, is amended by striking out " southEast " and substituting " southeast ".

Section 235.2 (1) of the Election Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 106, is amended by striking out " an campaign period " and substituting " a campaign period ".

Financial Administration Act

Section 44 (4) of the Financial Administration Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 138, is amended by striking out " sections 40 or 43 " and substituting "

section 40 or 43 ".

Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2007

Section 10 (

b) of the Health Statutes Amendment Act, 2007, S.B.C. 2007, c. 19, as it enacts

section 34 (2) (i) (ii) of the Health Care (Consent) and Care Facility (Admission) Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 181, is amended by striking out " may by restrained " and substituting " may be restrained ".

International Commercial Arbitration Act

Section 7 (5) of the International Commercial Arbitration Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 233, is amended by striking out " useable " and substituting " usable ".

Local Government Statutes (Housing Needs Reports)

Amendment Act, 2018

Section 1 of the Local Government Statutes (Housing Needs Reports) Amendment Act, 2018, S.B.C. 2018, c. 20, is amended by striking out " S.B.C. " and substituting " R.S.B.C. ".

Section 13 (2) (

b) is amended by renumbering the second subparagraph (ii) as subparagraph (iii).

Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 2018

Schedule 1 of the Miscellaneous Statutes Amendment Act (No. 2), 2018, S.B.C. 2018, c. 23, is amended in item 1 by striking out " 6 (b) " and substituting " 6 (

b) of the

Schedule ".

Mortgage Brokers Act

Section 9.1 (3) (

a) of the Mortgage Brokers Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 313, is amended by striking out " one or more of this Act " and substituting " one or more provisions of this Act ".

Motor Dealer Act

Section 8.1 (3) (

a) of the Motor Dealer Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 316, is amended by striking out " one or more of this Act " and substituting " one or more provisions of this Act ".

Section 24.6 is amended by renumbering the first subsection as subsection (1).

Parental Liability Act

Section 1 of the Parental Liability Act, S.B.C. 2001, c. 45, is amended in the definition of "provincial youth legislation" by striking out " Young Offenders (British Columbia) Act " and substituting " Young Offenders (British Columbia) Act ".

Protected Areas of British Columbia Act

Schedule A of the Protected Areas of British Columbia Act, S.B.C. 2000, c. 17, is amended in the description of Clayhurst Ecological Reserve by striking out " Water Act " and substituting " Water Act ".

Schedule C is amended

(

a) in the description of Coste Rocks Park by striking out " 1 hectares " and substituting " 1 hectare ", and

(

b) in the description of Fintry Park by striking out " BC Hydro Plan plan " and substituting " BC Hydro Plan ".

Schedule D is amended in the description of Dragon Mountain Park by striking out " Land Act " and substituting " Land Act ".

Resort Municipality of Whistler Act

Section 10 (1) (

c) of the Resort Municipality of Whistler Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 407, is amended by striking out " which " and substituting " that ".

Section 45 (9) (

a) of the School Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 412, is repealed and the following substituted:

(

a) in relation to the Local Government Act ,

(i)

section 86 (2) [minimum number of nominators] ,

(ii)

section 88 [nomination deposits] ,

(iii)

section 117 [order of names on ballot determined by lot] , and

(iv)

section 151 [determination of election results by lot] ; .

Small Business Venture Capital Act

Section 9 of the Small Business Venture Capital Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 429, is amended by striking out " by not limited " and substituting " but not limited ".

South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Act

Section 1 (5) (

a) of the South Coast British Columbia Transportation Authority Act, S.B.C. 1998, c. 30, is amended by striking out "

section 34.29 44, " and substituting "

section 34.29, 44, ".

Water Sustainability Act

Section 106 (4) (

m) of the Water Sustainability Act, S.B.C. 2014, c. 15, is amended by striking out "

section 38 (4) " and substituting "

section 38 (5) ".

Wildfire Act

28 Sections 4 (2) (

a) and 10 (1) (

a) and (

b) of the Wildfire Act, S.B.C. 2004, c. 31, are amended by striking out " fueling " and substituting " fuelling ".

Section 10 (1) is amended by striking out " fueled " and substituting " fuelled ".

Wildlife Act

Section 108 (2) (

i) of the Wildlife Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 488, is amended by striking out " qualification " and substituting " qualifications ".

31 The provisions of this Act referred to in column 1 of the following table come into force as set out in column 2 of the table:
