Order in Council 699/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas under O.C. 1047/2022, Robert Chant was appointed as a trustee of The Royal Ontario Museum for a fixed term of 3 years effective May 2, 2022;

And

whereas Robert Chant is to now be designated as chair of the Board of Trustees of The Royal Ontario Museum;

And

whereas Mr. Chant’s designation as chair cannot outlast his appointment as a trustee;

Now therefore , pursuant to

section 4 of the Royal Ontario Museum Act ,

Robert Chant of Toronto

be designated as chair of the board of trustees of The Royal Ontario Museum for a fixed term ending on May 1, 2025, effective the date this Order in Council is made.
