OIC Number: 2008 - 294 Date of Order: May 28, 2008 OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Acting Minister of Economic Development dated April 3, 2008, and pursuant to Order in Council 2005-373, and paragraphs 105 and 109 of the Articles of Association of Waterfront Development Corporation Limited is pleased to: (

a) appoint the following persons as members of the Board of Directors of Waterfront Development Corporation Limited, each for a term of four years commencing on May 28, 2008 and ending May 27, 2012: (

i) Bernard P. O'Rourke, Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; (ii) Mary Ann McGrath, Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; and (iii) A.V. Tina Battcock, Halifax, Halifax Regional Municipality; (

b) authorize the payment of $150.00 per day to the members of the Board for work involving the Waterfront Development Corporation Limited; and (

c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against the above appointees of the Board of Directors of the Waterfront Development Corporation Limited, and indemnify them from personal liability in connection with any such claim, provided, however, that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of their activities in relation to their appointment, and is not based on fraud or criminal activity, and where the Province so defends them, the Province will be in control of the case.
