B.C. Reg. 285/2003, deposited July 25, 2003, pursuant to the EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE ACT [Section

35] and the

EMPLOYMENT AND ASSISTANCE FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES ACT [Section 26]. Order in Council 750/2003, approved and ordered July 24, 2003.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective September 1, 2003, the Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, and the Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, are amended according to the attached schedule. — M. R. COELL , Minister of Human Resources; R. NEUFELD , Presiding Member of the Executive Council.

Schedule

1 The Employment and Assistance Regulation, B.C. Reg. 263/2002, is amended in

Schedule C by repealing

section 4 (1) and replacing it with the following:

(1) In this section, "period" means a 2 year period beginning on January 1, 2003, and on each subsequent January 1 in an odd numbered year.

(1.1) The health supplements that may be paid under

section 68

[ dental supplements ] of this regulation are basic dental services to a maximum of

(a) $700 each calendar year, if provided to a dependent child or a child in the home of a relative, and

(b) $500 each period, if provided to a person not referred to in paragraph (a).

2 The Employment and Assistance for Persons with Disabilities Regulation, B.C. Reg. 265/2002, is amended in

Schedule C by repealing

section 4 (1) and replacing it with the following:

(1) In this section, "period" means a 2 year period beginning on January 1, 2003, and on each subsequent January 1 in an odd numbered year.

(1.1) The health supplements that may be paid under

section 63

[ dental supplements ] of this regulation are basic dental services to a maximum of

(a) $700 each calendar year, if provided to a dependent child,

(b) $1 000 each period, if provided to a person with disabilities, and

(c) $500 each period, if provided to a person not referred to in paragraph (

a) or (b).
