AN ACT TO AMEND THE MUNICIPAL TAXATION ACT (Assented to , 1978) HER MAJESTY, by and with the advioe and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Albefva, enacts as follows: 1. The Municipal Taxation Act is amended by this Act. 2.

Section is amended (

a) by renumbering the

section as subsection (1), and (

b) by adding after subsection (1):

(2) The Minister may make regulations defining "urban municipality" for the purpose of

section 9. 3.

Section is amended by adding the following after sub section (4): ( 4.1) Notwithstanding subsection (4), where a parcel of land is located within an urban municipality and is vacant or is with 'Out significant improvement the municipality may by by-law direct the assessor to assess the pafcel at any value up to its full market value. 4. This Act comes into force on the day upon which it is assented to. Explanatory Notes I. This Bill will amend
