Order in Council 257/2019

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 1956/2016, dated December 14, 2016,

The Honourable Joseph James was reappointed as a part time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council (DIOC) and redesignated as the part time Chair of DIOC ;

and

whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 19/2018, dated January 8, 2018,

The Honourable Joseph James was continued as a part time member of the Death Investigation Oversight Council;

and

whereas Honourable Joseph James has, in writing, resigned his appointment as a part time member of the DIOC effective December 31, 2018;

therefore pursuant to subsection 8(2) and 8(3) of the Coroners Act , as amended, Orders in Council numbered O.C. 1956/2016, dated December 14, 2016, and O.C. 19/2018 dated January 8, 2018, appointing and continuing the Honourable Joseph James as a part time member of the DIOC are hereby revoked effective the date of this Order in Council.
