I, Bill Bennett, Minister of Energy and Mines and Minister Responsible for Core Review, order that the following regulation is made:

TYSON CREEK HYDRO CORP. EXEMPTION REGULATION

Definitions

1 In this regulation:

“Act” means the Utilities Commission Act ;

“Tyson Creek Transmission System” means the transmission system owned by Tyson Creek Hydro Corp. on the date this regulation comes into force.

Exemption

2 The Tyson Creek Hydro Corp. and its successors and assigns are exempt from

Part 3 of the Act in respect of

(

a) the Tyson Creek Transmission System,

(

b) the provision of service respecting the transmission of electricity from the Narrows Inlet Hydroelectric Project to the authority’s transmission system,

(

c) extensions of the Tyson Creek Transmission System, and

(

d) reconstruction of the Tyson Creek Transmission System.
