Order in Council 1165/2023

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Whereas by Order in Council numbered O.C. 2298/2001, dated November 7, 2001, The Order of Ontario, being an award in recognition of those persons who have rendered service of the greatest distinction and of singular excellence in any field of endeavour benefitting society in Ontario or elsewhere, was established;

And

whereas nominations have been submitted to the Advisory Council to The Order of Ontario for its consideration;

And

whereas the Advisory Council is of the opinion that certain nominees have the greatest merit for appointment to The Order of Ontario;

And

whereas the Lieutenant Governor in Council may appoint such nominees to The Order of Ontario;

Now therefore the following person be appointed to The Order of Ontario:

Biagio Giovanni Vinci, Etobicoke

Premier and President of the Council
