b) and 51 (2) (m)], the MOTOR VEHICLE ACT [sections 210 (3) (

q) and 212 (3)], the PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION ACT [section 59 (2)] and the PROVINCIAL SALES TAX ACT [section 241 (1) (a)]. Order in Council 188/2013, approved and ordered March 27, 2013.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Administrator, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that, effective April 1, 2013,

(

a) Order in Council 455/2010 is repealed,

(

b) section 6 of the Emergency and Health Services Regulation, B.C. Reg. 471/74, is repealed,

(

c) sections 1 to 30 of the Emergency and Health Services Amendment Act, 2013 are brought into force,

(

d) the Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board Regulation, as set out in the attached Appendix 1, is made, and

(

e) the regulations listed in the attached Appendix 2 are amended as set out in that Appendix.

Appendix 1

EMERGENCY MEDICAL ASSISTANTS LICENSING BOARD REGULATION

Licensing board member

1 For the purpose of

section 6 (2) of the Emergency Health Services Act , the emergency medical assistant to be appointed to the licensing board must be selected by the bargaining agent, as defined in

section 1 of the Labour Relations Code , for emergency medical assistants.

Appendix 2

Crime Victim Assistance (General) Regulation

Section 2 (

f) of the Crime Victim Assistance (General) Regulation, B.C. Reg. 161/2002, is amended by striking out “ Emergency and Health Services Act ; ” and substituting “ Emergency Health Services Act ; ”.

Crown Agency Employers Exemption Regulation

2 The list in

section 1 of the Crown Agency Employers Exemption Regulation, B.C. Reg. 177/2007, is amended by striking out “ Emergency and Health Services Commission ” and substituting “ British Columbia Emergency Health Services ”.

Designation Regulation No. 2

Section 1 of the Designation Regulation No. 2, B.C. Reg. 125/99, is amended

(

a) in paragraph (

e) by adding “ of British Columbia ” after “ Psychiatric Nurses ”, and

(

b) by adding the following paragraph:

(

k) the Emergency Medical Assistants Licensing Board.

Education and Health Sector Organizations Regulation

Section 1 (

d) of the Education and Health Sector Organizations Regulation, B.C. Reg. 53/2010, is repealed and the following substituted:

d) British Columbia Emergency Health Services; .

Extended Health Care and Dental Plans Regulation

Section 2 (

d) of the Extended Health Care and Dental Plans Regulation, B.C. Reg. 403/97, is amended by striking out “ the Emergency Health Services Commission; ” and substituting “ British Columbia Emergency Health Services; ”.

Group Life Insurance Regulation (No. 1)

Section 2 (

h) of the Group Life Insurance Regulation (No. 1), B.C. Reg. 408/97, is amended by striking out “ the Emergency Health Services Commission; ” and substituting “ British Columbia Emergency Health Services; ”.

Health Care Employers Regulation

7 The list in

section 2 of the Health Care Employers Regulation, B.C. Reg. 427/94, is amended by striking out “ Emergency and Health Services Commission ” and substituting “ British Columbia Emergency Health Services ”.

Health Emergency Act Remission Regulation

8 The Health Emergency Act Remission Regulation, B.C. Reg. 166/97, is amended

(

a) by repealing the title and substituting the following:

EMERGENCY HEALTH SERVICES ACT REMISSION REGULATION ,

(

b) in

section 1 by striking out “ Health Emergency Act ” and substituting “ Emergency Health Services Act ”, and

(

c) in

section 1 (

e) and (

f) by striking out “ the Ministry of Health Services ” and substituting “ the ministry of the minister responsible for the administration of the Ministry of Health Act ”.

Long Term Disability Plan Regulation

9 Item A of

Schedule A of the Long Term Disability Plan Regulation, B.C. Reg. 409/97, is amended in paragraph (

d) by striking out “ the Emergency Health Services Commission ” and substituting “ British Columbia Emergency Health Services ”.

Medical and Health Care Services Regulation

Section 35 (2) (

c) of the Medical and Health Care Services Regulation, B.C. Reg. 426/97, is amended by striking out “ the Emergency and Health Services Commission ” and substituting “ British Columbia Emergency Health Services ”.

Motor Vehicle Act Regulations

11 The Motor Vehicle Act Regulations, B.C. Reg. 26/58, is amended

(

a) in

section 4.28 (2) (

c) by striking out “ Health Emergency Act ” and substituting “ Emergency Health Services Act ”, and

(

b) in

section 47.01 (

b) by striking out “ Emergency and Health Services Act ” and substituting “ Emergency Health Services Act ”.

Passenger Transportation Regulation

Section 1 (1) of the Passenger Transportation Regulation, B.C. Reg. 266/2004, is amended in the definition of “ambulance” by striking out “ Health Emergency Act ; ” and substituting “ Emergency Health Services Act ; ”.

Provincial Sales Tax Exemption and Refund Regulation

Section 83 (2) (b) (

x) of the Provincial Sales Tax Exemption and Refund Regulation, B.C. Reg. 97/2013, is repealed and the following substituted:
