OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Public Works and the Minister of Health and Wellness dated July 27, 2022, and pursuant to

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act , and

Section 16 of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act , and in accordance with the Department of Health and Wellness Capital Grants Program, is pleased to authorize: (

a) the Minister of Health and Wellness or the Minister of Public Works entering into the net debt obligation for the capital costs associated with the Cape Breton Regional Municipality Health Care Redevelopment Project for the Clinical Services Building, the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, and the Energy Centre at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital; and (

b) the making of a grant by the Minister of Health and Wellness on behalf of the Province in the total amount not to exceed $74,146,000 within the fiscal years 2022-23 and 2027-28 to the Nova Scotia Health Authority for furniture, fixtures and equipment, information technology, and clinical equipment related to the Clinical Services Building and Cape Breton Cancer Centre projects.
