Statute: Occupational Health and Safety Act Workers Compensation Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Environment and Labour dated May 22, 2002, pursuant to

Section 10 of

Chapter 7 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1996, the Occupational Health and Safety Act, and to clause 115(1)(

d) and subsections 115(7) and 269(1) of

Chapter 10 of the Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1994-1995, as amended, the Workers' Compensation Act, is pleased to: (

a) determine that, for the purpose of paying part of the costs for the fiscal year 2001-2002 of the Occupational Health and Safety Division of the Department of Environment and Labour and of agencies, boards and commissions established for the purposes of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, the sum of $4,301,149.28 shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund of the Province of Nova Scotia from the Accident Fund by the Workers' Compensation Board; and (

b) order that for the purpose of paying all of the actual costs of the Workers' Advisers Program for the fiscal year 2001-2002, the sum of $1,729,695.21 is approved and shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund of the Province of Nova Scotia from the Accident Fund by the Workers' Compensation Board.
