OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for Healthcare Redevelopment and the Minister of Health and Wellness dated April 27, 2023, and pursuant to

Section 16 of

Chapter 197 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Health Services and Insurance Act , and

Section 77 of

Chapter 2 of the Acts of 2010, the Finance Act , and in accordance with the Department of Health and Wellness Capital Grants Program, is pleased, effective May 10, 2023, to: (

a) approve the making of a grant by the Minister of Health and Wellness on behalf of the Province to the Nova Scotia Health Authority in a total amount not to exceed Twenty Million Dollars ($20,000,000) to contribute to advancement of the Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project; (

b) authorize the Nova Scotia Health Authority entering into a net debt obligation by acquiring tangible capital assets for the purposes of the advancement of the Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project, and execute such agreements or other documents as may be required in connection with such transactions; and (

c) authorize the Minister responsible for Healthcare Redevelopment entering into a net debt obligation by acquiring tangible capital assets for the purposes of the Halifax Infirmary Expansion Project advanced design work and early construction work, and execute such agreements or other documents as may be required in connection with such transactions.
