B.C. Reg. 217/2002, deposited July 26, 2002, pursuant to the FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS ACT

[section 289 (3) (

d) and (7)]. Order in Council 693/2002, approved and ordered July 26, 2002.

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, orders that the Financial Institutions Fees Regulation, B.C. Reg. 312/90, is amended

(

a) by renumbering

section 2 as

section 2 (1) and by adding the following subsection:

(2) Despite subsection (1), no annual fee is payable by a financial institution or an extraprovincial corporation in the calendar year in which the financial institution or extraprovincial corporation is issued a business authorization after filing an application for a business authorization under sections 61 (1) or (3) or 160 of the FIA. ,

(

b) in

Schedule 1 in Column 1 of Item 8 by striking out

"166 (3)" and substituting "166 (4) (b)", and

(

c) in

Schedule 1 in Column 1 of Item 9 by striking out

"or 166 (1)" and substituting "of the FIA or documents or information filed under

section 166 (1) or
