OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Human Rights Act dated February 26, 2010, and pursuant to
Section 22 of
Chapter 214 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Human Rights Act, is pleased to: (
a) appoint Patricia Skinner of Antigonish, Antigonish County, as a commissioner of the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission for a term of office of three years commencing April 7, 2010; (
b) determine that Patricia Skinner be paid remuneration at the rate of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) for each half day spent at duly called meetings of the Commission; and (
c) order that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Patricia Skinner and indemnify her from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied that the claim arises out of her activities in relation to her appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and where the Province so defends her, the Province will be in control of the case.
