Order in Council 1023/2025

On the recommendation of the undersigned, the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, by and with the advice and concurrence of the Executive Council of Ontario, orders that:

Homeowner Protection Act, 2024

January 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Homeowner Protection Act, 2024 , c. 18, which amend the New Home Construction Licensing Act, 2017 , come into force:

Schedule 1, s. 1-5.

January 1, 2026 is named as the day on which the following provisions of the Homeowner Protection Act, 2024 , c. 18, which amend the Ontario New Home Warranties Plan Act , come into force:

Schedule 3, s. 1 (1), (2).
