Citation

1 These regulations may be cited as the Municipal Public Housing Contributions

Regulations .

Definitions

2 In these regulations,

“Act” means the Housing Supply and Services Act ;

“public housing” means housing owned by the Province in which the residents are

provided with financial assistance by the Province to obtain or maintain housing.

Calculation of annual public housing contribution

3 A municipality’s annual municipal public housing contribution under subsection 11(3) of

the Act is equal to [the] total of the municipality’s percentage contribution for all public

housing properties located in the municipality and for which the municipality was

required to contribute on January 1, 2024.

Municipalities excluded from municipal public housing contributions

4 A municipality is excluded from the requirement to pay a municipal contribution amount

towards public housing under subsection 11(4) of the Act if the municipality has signed

the service exchange agreement with the Province that is effective April 1, 2024.
