OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Transportation and Public Works dated December 1, 2005, pursuant to
Section 18 of
Chapter 371 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Public Highways Act, is pleased to: (
a) extinguish the right of the public to use those portions of the public highway system containing a total of 40 acres of land, more or less, situate at or near Gardners Mill, in the County of Yarmouth, and more particularly described in
Schedule "A" as two unused Road Reserves and shown crosshatched in red on
Schedule "B" and "B-1" which schedules are attached to and form part of the report and recommendation; (
b) convey the land to The Chief and Council of The Acadia Band of the Mi'Kmaq, in the County of Yarmouth, for the price of $500.00; and (
c) authorize the Minister of Transportation and Public Works to make and execute a Quit Claim Deed in such form as the Minister determines.
