MR. D. BARRETT (Leader of the Opposition): Mr. Speaker, I ask the House to welcome a large group of students from Centennial High School in Coquitlam.

MR. SPEAKER: The Honourable the first Member for Vancouver East.

MR. A.B. MACDONALD (Vancouver East): I ask the House to welcome a larger group of students from Gladstone High School in Vancouver.

MR. SPEAKER: The Member for Nanaimo.

MR. F.J. NEY (Nanaimo): Mr. Speaker, I ask the House to give

a cordial welcome to Gordon Bush and party, members of the Nanaimo

Society of Gentlemen Bathers and Cricket Players.

MR. SPEAKER: The Honourable Member for Cowichan Malahat.

MR. R.M. STRACHAN (Cowichan-Malahat): Mr. Speaker, I would

ask the House to give an extra special warm welcome to a group of

unemployed teachers who are with us today.

MR. SPEAKER: The Lieutenant-Governor transmits herewith a bill intituled

An Act to Amend the Pari Mutuel Betting Tax Act , and recommends the same to the legislative assembly. Dated at Government House, March 8, 1972.
