Statute: Boxing Authority Act

OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister responsible for the Boxing Authority Act dated August 18, 2018, and pursuant to

Section 3 of

Chapter 43 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the Boxing Authority Act , is pleased to: (

a) reappoint Michael (Mickey) MacDonald of Halifax Regional Municipality (Halifax) as a member of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term of three (3) years commencing on October 4, 2018; (

b) designate Michael (Mickey) MacDonald as Chair of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority; (

c) reappoint Daniel McMillan of Halifax Regional Municipality (Upper Tantallon) and Angela Sanford of Kennetcook, Hants County as members of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term of three (3) years commencing on October 4, 2018; (

d) reappoint Barry Bernard of Eskasoni, Cape Breton County and Paul Carrigan of Cape Breton Regional Municipality (Port Caledonia) as members of the Nova Scotia Boxing Authority for a term of two (2) years commencing on October 4, 2018; and (

e) confirm that they shall receive remuneration in respect of their appointment in accordance with Order in Council 2011-203, dated June 7, 2011.
