OIC Text: The Governor in Council on the report and recommendation of the Minister of Finance dated January 27, 2000, pursuant to Order in Council 81-1099, dated September 1, 1981, and to

Chapter 235 of the Revised Statutes of Nova Scotia, 1989, the

Interpretation Act, and to all other power and authority in him vested, is pleased to: (

a) approve the nomination and appointment of Donald West of Calgary, Alberta, as a Director of Nova Scotia Resources Limited; and (

b) determine that the Province shall defend, negotiate or settle claims or charges made against Donald West as a Director of Nova Scotia Resources Limited and indemnify him from personal liability, provided that the Province is satisfied the claim arises out of the Director's activities in relation to his appointment and is not based on fraud or criminal activity and provided that the Province will be in control of a case which it defends, negotiates or settles.
